As a working mother of three children, Jeanne Preski found it challenging to instill Catholic traditions and prayer, as well as run the family smoothly, especially at dinner time. The traditional Advent Wreath devotionals had exceptionally long Bible passages, prayers that were too long, and unrelated to the children. This devotional offers weekly repetitive prayer presented in larger print with basic concepts that are easier for younger children to read. The repetition of the weekly prayers focuses on the need for children to hear a message over and over for knowledge. As a mother of active children, she found it constantly challenging for a teaching moment, as well as keep everyone on schedule.Jeanne Preski is a Speech Language Pathologist and lives in Rhode Island.
