Starting at basics for the medical undergraduate, the text explains basic anatomy and physiology and the principles of sound orthopaedic management. The latter section of the book (Parts III, IV and V) explores the challenging treatment decisions in day-to-day orthopaedic trauma management. Few books present these treatment options in such a pragmatic and unbiased manner. I can thoroughly recommend this book to all concerned in the management of acute orthopaedic trauma.
