Biswajeet Mukherjee has completed his Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech) in Electronics and Communication Engineering from GGSIP University, Delhi; Master of Technology (M. Tech) in Microwave Electronics from Department of Electronic Science, University of Delhi and his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph. D) from the Department of Electrical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, Powai, Mumbai. He is currently working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, PDPM Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design & Manufacturing, Jabalpur.

In his career, he has completed several externally sponsored research projects from various organizations like the Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB) of Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India; Science for Equity and Empowerment Division (SEED), DST; Madhya Pradesh Council of Science and Technology (MPCST), Government of Madhya Pradesh, etc.

He has successfully guided two PhD students and six are completing their PhD under his supervision. He has already guided ten Master's thesis as well. He is a Member of the Editorial Board of the International Journal of Applied Electromagnetics and Mechanics, published by the IOS press, the Netherlands. He was selected amongst the Top 2% scientists of the world based on the list issued by Stanford University, USA. He is the recipient of the Best Paper Award at the International Conference on Innovative Product Design and Intelligent Manufacturing Systems (ICIPDIMS), 2019 at NIT Rourkela, India. He was awarded Hari Om Ashram Prerit Harivallabhdas Chunilal Shah Research Endowment Prize in the field of Electronics & Communication for the year of 2015-16, declared in 2017, by Sardar Patel University, Gujarat.
