The novel "The Protective Archangel" consists of three stories separated in time and space. The three are united by the liberating cross Joseph of Arimathea received in the Holy Sepulchre in the year 30, from the hands of an angel and then to Spain, where he remained until the first voyage of Columbus in 1492, in a fictional fourth ship which is dragged by the Atlantic storms. Four centuries later, the saga continues on a plantation in Maryland, where the Archangel Michael, will born as a man and where will take place the main story.
"The Protector Archangel" is not a historical novel does not it pretend to be. Eduardo Mayen uses the story and turns it freely, combining it with natural adventures and supernatural interventions. The result is a highly entertaining novel of action in which makes use of the various situations to send a message of love and religious faith.
