Hopson's scholarly work raises questions that analyze and address the differential impact of education and schooling on marginalized and underrepresented groups.

Adrienne D. Dixson is an Associate Professor of Critical Race Theory and Education in the Department of Education Policy, Organization and Leadership in the College of Education at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, USA. Dixson's scholarship examines the intersectionality of race, class and gender in urban educational contexts, with a particular interest in how these issues impact educational equity for students and people of color in the urban south.
