Major Matthew Glenn is hot on the trail of the Federal spy ring in Richmond- but is the hunter the hunted? An alarming discovery sends him racing north with Major General James 'Pete' Longstreet, who's having problems of his own. A missing lieutenant. Ambushed couriers. Strange lights at night. And mysterious telegraph signals...all of this points to a hotbed of Union activity in a sector which should be quiet, and Glenn once again treads on thin ice in pursuit of his quarry.
As he faces an old adversary, a new threat materializes in Richmond- and this time, not even his wife is safe. Racing against time, Glenn must summon his last reserves to carry out his mission and save the day...if it's not already too late.
While teaching analysis and foreign languages to military and college students, he incorporated examples from history into lesson plans and lectures; short essays on the use of intelligence in Civil War battles led to a larger study on the subject, and eventually a historical 'what-if' incorporating this research.
When not engaged in re-fighting the Civil War with advanced analysis and intelligence-gathering techniques, he makes his home in the Pacific Northwest with his wife and son.
