As one of nine children, EJ Thomas grew up in the 1950s and 60s in Massachusetts. She turned down a two-year scholarship to a local Community College to join the Air Force where she received a top secret clearance in communications. After the USAF, she studied computer programming and was at the top of her class. She moved on to state government and worked her way up from a file clerk to a top management position. These opportunities allowed her to take charge of over 1,000 employees and deal with labor relations issues as well as specialize in program modifications, analysis of proposed legislation including costs, and the implementation of new technology. EJ attributes her success to taking a hands-on approach with all her projects. Now retired, she has more time to focus on the truth and ways to make life better. During the 2011/12 presidential campaign, she began researching the issues and fact checking statements in order to fully understand what was said in debates, the news, speeches and on talk shows. What was discovered was disheartening but it motivated her to continue search for the truth.
