DIANE J. COOK, PhD, is a professor in the Department of ComputerScience and Engineering at the University of Texas at Arlington,where she leads the MavHome smart home project and directs theArtificial Intelligence Research Laboratory. A senior member of theIEEE and member of the American Association for ArtificialIntelligence, she also sits on the Board of Governors for theIEEE's Systems, Man, and Cybernetics Society.SAJAL K. DAS, PhD, is a professor in the Department of ComputerScience and Engineering and Founding Director of the Center forResearch in Wireless Mobility and Networking (CReWMaN) at theUniversity of Texas at Arlington. He is the coauthor of MobileWireless Computing: A Quantitative Approach.
