Problemfelder zu dienen.
Die vorliegende Arbeit prüft, inwiefern sich der Venture Philanthropy Ansatz eignet,
um den Herausforderungen und Problemen von neugegründeten Social Businesses
zu begegnen. Insbesondere zum deutschen Markt gibt es wenig Publikationen, und
die tatsächliche Bedeutung der Venture Philanthropy Gesellschaften ist
undurchsichtig. Daher liegt der Fokus dieser Arbeit auf Deutschland.
Durch Analysen der wissenschaftlichen Literatur, verschiedener Publikationen und
der Webseiten der deutschen Akteure verdichtet sich deren Bedeutung. Ein
Fallbeispiel verdeutlicht die schwierige Vorhersagbarkeit der Entscheidungsträger.
Grundsätzlich eignet sich der Ansatz, um Neugründungen voran zu bringen und zu
unterstützen. Die Beteiligten sind auf einem guten Weg. Allerdings ist eine direkte
Förderanfrage für Social Business Start-Ups bislang wenig aussichtsreich.
Social Business and Venture Philanthropy are gaining a greater focus among the
socially dedicated and appear to be a universal remedy for problematic areas of
society.
This bachelor thesis analyses to what extend the Venture Philanthropy approach
can meet the challenges and problems of Social Business Start-Ups. The German
market in particular offers few publications on this subject matter, leaving the true
importance of Venture Philanthropy organizations obscured. The focus of the thesis
is therefore concentrated in Germany.
By analyzing scientific literature, various publications and the web presences of
German corporative actors, its importance starts to become clearer. A case study
underlines the difficult predictability of policy makers.
In principle, the approach lends itself to further and support start-ups. The involved
parties are on the right track. To date however, requests for funding of Social
Business Start-Ups are not very promising.
