Sextus Julius Frontinus (c. 40 - 103 AD) was a prominent Roman author, military leader, and statesman, whose multifaceted career reflected the dynamism of the Roman Empire in the first century AD. He is best known for his treatise 'Strategemata' or 'Stratagems', which is an insightful compendium of military tactics and anecdotes intended to provide practical lessons in warfare.
