Air and noise pollution often go side by side as also recognised in Air Prevention and Control of Pollution Act, 1981 of India. Air pollution means the presence in the atmosphere of any air pollutant whereas noise is any sound that is loud or unpleasant or causes disturbance and goes beyond 80 decibels.
