The field of environmental science is immensely benefitted like any other field of science with advances in nanotechnology. Nanotechnology is opening up new avenues of research in environmental science by design, development and fabrication of accurate, sensitive, miniature and cost-effective pollution monitoring devices that can prevent, reduce, sense and treat harmful environment contamination in air, water and soil.
