feet. Twenty-seven years after first beholding this beautiful, massive rock hovering over and miniaturizing most everything in its shadow, everything

changed. The 14,259 foot summit seem to be calling out to me. Twenty-seven years before my summit of Longs Peak, a little baby girl was born. Her name, Amanda. The year Amanda was born, I made my first mountain hike through the shadows of Longs Peak. Twenty-seven years later, Amanda would lead me to the summit.
