Peter William Hochachka, Ph.D., F.R.S.C., born in Bordenave, Alberta, obtained his formal training at the University of Alberta (Honors B.Sc.), Dalhousie University (M.Sc.), and Duke University (Ph.D. and Postdoctoral Fellowship). Peter L. Lutz, Ph.D., holds the McGinty Eminent Scholar Chair in Biology at Florida Atlantic University. Thomas J. Sick, Ph.D., is Professor of Neurology in the School of Medicine at the University of Miami and holds joint appointments in the Department of Physiology/Biophysics, and Marine Biology and Fisheries at the University of Miami Rosensteil School of Marine and Atmospheric Sciences. Myron Rosenthal, Ph.D., is Professor of Neurology and Physiology/Biophysics in the School of Medicine of the University of Miami. He also is Professor of Marine Biology and Fisheries at that university's Rosensteil School. Guido E.E.J.M. van den Thillart, Ph.D., is Associate Professor of Animal Physiology at the Department of Biology, University of Leiden, The Netherlands.
