Terror Cards is a work of fiction. It tells the story of Griselda Lopez, an evil and manipulative psychic who will stop at nothing to fulfill her depraved desires, and Phil Ramirez, an experienced homicide detective, who has been carrying the guilt of a young man he killed on the job many years ago. Their paths cross following a gruesome murder of internet millionaire Edward Stenovitch. The novel progresses from there very much in the mold of a conventional detective story. Griselda goes to greater and greater lengths to preserve a huge windfall she has orchestrated for herself, while Phil labors to prove she's the cold-blooded killer he's convinced she is. This novel has an additional thematic layering of Christian belief. Griselda's evil is rooted in and explained by her devotionto Satanic arts, while Phil's efforts are aided by his two Christian friends, Lisa, a researcher at the police department and burgeoning romantic partner, and Doc, the medical examiner. As Phil's grows increasingly frustrated by Griselda's ability to avoid justice, he descends into spiritual crisis, exacerbated by the evil hexes Griselda has cast upon him.
