As an author I love writing and reading children’s books. I especially like reading books with dogs as one of the main characters. I go to the library and into the children’s book section, that’s where you’ll find me. I love animals, especially dogs. We’ve had dogs all our lives. I go to the library where there’s a wealth of information just waiting to be absorbed by animal lovers of all ages, especially young minds and future young authors.My wife and I have a little Yorkshire terrier who we rescued from a bad situation. She was 10 months old and weighed 5 ½ lbs. The idea of a dog excited me, but not a small dog; I’ve always liked bigger dogs. The thought of walking a little dog didn’t excite me at all. Well to make a long story short, when we entered the home of the owner, hiding under the table was the last and smallest of the litter. When I saw her, something inside me all of a sudden changed. I looked at her and she stared up at me it was love at first sight. My heart said we were taking her home, no matter what the cost. Here is a picture of her.
