The Arms Dealer (ePub)

Jim Factor is a successful arms dealer with weapons clients and third world country customers. He's agrees to consult on an illegal arms sale with ties to the Russian mafia and is blamed when it is uncovered. Acting on a tip, he runs to San Francisco to escape retaliation and protect his wife. He creates a false identity and seeks a new profession while simultaneously acquiring defensive skills which will allow him to confront his past. In the meantime his wife has set a very competent private investigator to find Jim and the Russian mafia team follows the PI. Factor finds employment at a marina and makes friends with an ex-Seal karate instructor. He gains access to a passport and sets a deadline to leave the city for Europe. He is tracked down by the PI who recruits the ex-Seal to get together with Jim. When the danger of the hit team is discussed they plot to engage in a gun battle on Alcatraz Island. During that action in which the Russians are killed Jim discovers from one he remains a target. He decides to slip from his two companions using another false identity and flies to Spain. There he concocts a daring plan to confront the Russian head of the hit team. Before it's over, he will have taken over a Russian mafia arms business in Bulgaria, alienated another mafia organization and had his two friends join him in an ultimate showdown.
