Born in Brazil of American missionary parents, she is the founder and CEO of International Language Services, Inc. (www.ilstranslations.com), started in 1982 as a language school, now a language translation company in Minneapolis, MN. She is also the founder and president of Demystifying, Inc. (www.demystifying.com). She has written and produced the Demystifying language series to prepare and help people learn a new language. Arlene's book, Quick-Start Spanish: Everything You Need to Know Before You Start or Restart Spanish was published in 2000 by NTC Contemporary, then republished in 2002 by McGraw-Hill Corporation.
