Ibrahim M. Abu-Rabi' is Professor of Islamic Studiesand Christian-Muslim Relations and co-Director of the Duncan Black
McDonald Center for the Study of Islam and Christian-Muslim
Relations at Hartford Seminary. He is the co-editor of The
Muslim World, the oldest journal on Islam in the US. He is the
editor of several books and the author of the following:
Intellectual Origins of Islamic Resurgence in the Modern
Arab World (State University of New York Press, 1995) and
Contemporary Arab Thought: Studies in Post-1967 Arab Intellectual
History (Pluto Press, 2004).
