She is the grandmother of Olivia. Ms. Clark-Elliott is a life -long learner and educator. She has taught in the public school system for 16 years and is convinced that there is a need to build a foundation for learning in the early years of a child’s academic career. She has earned a Bachelor’s Degree of early childhood from Coastal Carolina University. She has Master’s Degree in remediation from the University of Francis Marion and Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from the University of South Carolina. She is also a National Board Certified Teacher.
She desires to publish children’s literature that enhances the educational, social development and emotional stability of all children. She believes that children should be exposed to positive images of themselves and of their scholarly heritage. It is her goal to write books where characters scream off the pages, “I know you, I know who you are!” and children respond, “You look just like me and you come from where I am and I want to be like you and accomplish great things too.” She aspires to write stories that celebrate and motivate young people.
