Sie schreibt über ihre künstlerische Fotografie: "Meine künstlerischen Fotografien basieren auf einer Mixed-Media-Technik, inspiriert vor allem durch klassische Musik und Maler der Romantik. Fotografie bedeutet für mich mehr als nur die reale Abbildung der Umwelt. Fotografie bedeutet, Gefühle und Momente zu erfassen und den Betrachter zum Träumen zu verführen."
Dr. Susan Brooks-Dammann, seit 2011 freie Autorin und Fotodesignerin, hält es mit Man Ray: Natürlich wird es immer diejenigen geben, welche nur auf die Technik schaun und fragen "wie", während andere, neugieriger Natur fragen werden "warum". Persönlich habe ich immer Inspiration vor der Information bevorzugt. Kurz: Fotografie ist mehr als Technik. Fotografie ist Freude, Inspiration und endlose Kreativität.
