Gil Brinckerhoff was born and raised in New York City and Long Island. During his early teens he spent a memorable three years in Japan. He and his wife live on Cape Cod in the village of Yarmouth Port.After under-graduate training in physics, he served a two-year hitch in the army and then attended medical school at the George Washington University. After completing a residency in dermatology at Boston University School of Medicine, he opened an office and joined the staff of the Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis.
Gil has long been fascinated by the variety of human temperament and the psychopathologies exhibited by his fellow man. Out of that interest grew the characters in this novel.
