This young man also decided to go to the Ballroom that night. He asked me to dance and this was the first time I had ever spoken to a foreign person. He said he was from Mauritius, a place I had never heard of. Now people go there on holidays all of the time, how times have changed.I was surprised when he asked if I would meet him for the pictures. He was tall, dark and handsome but I knew it would be trouble all the way for me if I got involved with this young man.I did go out with him but sadly in time we had to part. We said that we would be best friends forever, no matter where life took us. So after 37 years to my surprise I found my best friend in a most unusual way.I hope you enjoy reading my book.
