Produktinformationen zu „The Naughty Unicorn (ePub)“
The Naughty Unicorn is a moral tale of a young unicorn with magical powers who endlessly ignores the warnings of her mother to be safe. One day, the young unicorn has an accident, and she breaks her horn resulting in the loss of her magical powers, making her a normal pony. The author uses a traditional way of telling the story by the introduction of the character as well as the flaws and showing the consequences of being naughty along with giving her the opportunity to put things right. The message to children, in this tale, is to do as you are told by Mum and be safe!
Autoren-Porträt von Aggie Woznicki
Agnieszka “Aggie” Woznicki, the daughter of farmers, was born and grew up in Olkusz, Poland. As a little girl, she learned about many characters from legends such as The Legend of the Queen of the Baltic. It’s about Juranta, a beautiful and kind queen of the Baltic Sea, who broke the rules by falling in love with a simple fisherman. Polish fairy tales are filled with a joyful play on the imagination and are strongly linked with nature. They open doors to those dealing with hard living conditions to the idea that it doesn’t matter where you come from. Rich or poor, you can still achieve great things. Aggie draws from this rich Polish folk tradition as well as nature to inspire her writing, art, and poetry. She lives with her English husband and little boy in a tall house in Nottinghamshire where she paints, writes, plays music, and makes toys.
