David Sebastian served as a congregational pastor for twenty years and observed the negative impact of alcohol and drugs on individuals and families. He also served for nineteen years as an academic dean for a private liberal arts university where his research uncovered simply by enrolling in college, students change their drinking patterns—for the worse. For the past ten years he has been writing and speaking to create public awareness about the growing rate of alcohol consumption. Dr. Sebastian is an ordained minister and currently serves as dean emeritus and minister-at-large for Anderson University, Anderson, Indiana. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Warner University, a master’s degree from Anderson University School of Theology and a doctor of ministry in theology degree from Fuller Theological Seminary. He is married to the former Debbie Miller. The couple has two adult daughters Julie Short (Colin) and Amy McLaughlin (Jonathan) and four grandchildren Mary Kate, Matthew, Luca and Liv.
