The collection "Poems" belongs to the pen of the brilliant Russian poet, "the sun of Russian poetry", the playwright and prose writer A. Pushkin (1799-1837). Pushkin wrote 12 poems. The greatest of his poem, "Ruslan and Lyudmila," he began by studying in the Lyceum. Witty, brilliant, full of enthusiasm, she immediately became popular. And the "Caucasian Prisoner", "Robber Brothers", "Bakhchisarai Fountain" introduced a new stream into Russian literature - revolutionary romanticism. This was a poetic expression of the revolutionary-minded noble youth, the Decembrists. Pushkin also wrote such remarkable works as "Eugene Onegin", "Scenes from Knightly Times", "The Story of Belkin", "The Queen of Spades", "The Gypsies", "Roslavlev", "The Lodge in Kolomna", "The Prisoner of the Caucasus", "Poltava". Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin, during his lifetime, earned himself the reputation of the greatest poet of Russia, whose work influenced the development of both Russian and world literature. The greatest merit of the genius poet is also in the fact that he became the creator of the modern Russian literary language.
