In addition, she is currently on the editorial boards of eight journals, including the Journal of Marriage and Family, the Journal of Family Psychology, and Adoption Quarterly. She is the author of two books: Lesbian and Gay Parents and Their Children: Research on the Family Life Cycle (2010, APA) and Gay Dads: Transitions to Adoptive Fatherhood (2012, NYU Press). She is also the editor, with Katherine R. Allen, of LGBT-Parent Families: Innovations in Research and Implications for Practice (2013, Springer). She has received funding from the National Institutes of Health, the American Psychological Association, the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, the Williams Institute, the Spencer Foundation, the Gay and Lesbian Medical Association, and the Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues.
