Tony Akaki received his early education at the International School Tanganyika (Tanzania) and Namasagali College(Uganda). He then studied at the London Institute of Shipping & Transport, Glasgow Caledonian University, the University of Maryland, and the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. Akaki is currently working for the United Nations in West Africa.
