Autoren-Porträt von Lois Brown
Growing up in the Ozark Hills of Missouri, Ms. Brown’s family didn’t own a television until she was about twelve years of age; however her mother valued the education of her seven children and therefore, they owned a large library of books. She grew up reading the books that were brought home from the school’s library and just about everything in their own library. She was fascinated by history, especially American history, and wanted to travel extensively. In her younger years, she traveled in her imagination with the authors of the books she read, dreaming of the places she read about.
She worked for many years for major communication companies, retiring as an engineer in her field. After retirement, she worked with disabled children and older adults in need. In later years, she traveled and worked with her husband, from California to Florida and on up the East Coast to New Jersey. She finally settled in Atlanta for about ten years. After losing her husband, she returned to her beloved home near Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri. There she lives with her daughter, son-in-law, and grandson.
