Benigno Simeon "Noynoy" Cojuangco Aquino III was the 15th President of the Philippines, serving from 2010 to 2016. Born on February 8, 1960, into a prominent political family, he is the only son of democracy icons Senator Benigno Aquino Jr. and former President Corazon Aquino. Although not traditionally recognized as an author in the literary sense, Aquino's contribution to Philippine literature is primarily through his political discourses and public addresses. 'Third State of the Nation Address,' delivered on July 23, 2012, stands as a reflection of his political and socio-economic agenda, embodying his administration's efforts and achievements. Aquino's rhetorical style in his public addresses marries earnestness with a straightforward approach, intending to resonate with the common Filipino while pushing for good governance and democratic ideals. His advocacy for transparency, anti-corruption measures, and economic reforms marked his presidency and, in turn, his public texts.
