This Love Thang is about eleven friends on the path to accepting, finding and forgiving love but will the road be too much for either of them to handle. The poetry signifies the journey each one has taken in lieu of finding love. Inside the “sister- hood circle” and “man’s club” there are lessons learned and discoveries are found. Will each road taken lead to destruction or will (all) be forgiven?
Growing up in poverty can kill your spirit, drive and dreams. The delivery of disappointments cascades over your reality and knowing your situation remains the same every day. I love anything attached to arts, poetry and music. It became my escape to discovering who I am. To date, I have been in two Indi films, several plays, written plays and have a collection of poetry. I am strong and compassionate about communication and reducing violence and abuse against each other. I hope this book bring some comfort as it did to write it.
