The 'Triumvirate' Gerald, Terry and Ashok, inspired by the love of people and nature, art, culture, history, architecture on a rollicking journey, cutoff from their bonds and pressures of life, prioritizing their quest for excitement, at the commencement of their twilight years, drawn desperately to live their past. The Journey to South East Asia (SeA) beginning at Thailand and carrying on to Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam and Sri Lanka. Experience in Thailand exciting with pristine beaches and personal excitement. Cambodia a war torn country decorated with architectural wonders of the past, but presently people's life shredded with cruel brutality due to disparity created by few with extravagance. Laos with the similar past has a chequered history due to religious phenomena. Vietnam - a never say-die story of the recent past, where capitalistic brutality was unleashed on innocent peasants. Though tiny, the courageous women and young girls stood like David to knock down the Goliaths. Sure they did knock the American Goliaths out of shape. Sri Lanka is one of the beautiful places in SeA with chequered present with massacre of innocent Tamils, misguided by religious fundamentals and fascism which brought death, destruction and misery to the innocent Tamils. The three men record their experiences peppered with a healthy twist of humor, rib-rollicking adventures and anecdotes. This book races at a breakneck quirky pace, interspersed with elements of surprise. A series of stories peeled off from these countries based on their distant past which were enough to hang up in disbelief.
