Autoren-Porträt von John Decoste

John DeCoste was born June 2, 1943 in Arichat, Cape Breton in Nova Scotia, Canada. He completed his primary and SECONDARY education in that village. He went on to become a teacher in Halifax and Cape Breton. After his third year of teaching, he became a missionary of Africa and spent 15 years in Africa in Burkina Faso (former Upper Volta), Nigeria and Central Africa (Congo, Rwanda, Burundi). He experienced the Rwanda/Congo war and genocide which seriously affected his life. He is now a chaplain at St. Ignatius Church in Bedford, Nova Scotia.
