Produktinformationen zu „Traveller (ePub)“
"e;The Traveller"e; is a work of fiction. The Traveller finds himself standing on a country road and knows he has to follow it to the end. He remembers nothing of his past life or knows why he does not need to eat or drink. He starts on his long journey in autumn, eventually travelling through all seasons. On the way he experiences many situations and meets a variety of human reactions, even escaping from a prison. He finds the journey long and arduous, especially having to sleep out in the open, underneath hedges and in barns suffering from the cold. He wants to turn back which he knows is impossible and at long last comes to the end of the road. Confronting him is a large bleak windowless building. What awaits him there? He enters to face the consequences.
Autoren-Porträt von Augustine Nash
Augustine Nash was born in a small village in Herefordshire, England, in 1937. At the age of 16 she met and married; by the age of 19 she'd had three children. Augustine worked as a nurse for twenty four years and following her retirement she decided to fulfil her ambition to write novels. Since then she has been a prolific writer and her first book 'Shadow of the Eagle' was entered for the Booker Prize. Many of her books are based on her own experiences and memories of characters she has met in her life. Her husband was a serving officer in the Royal Air Force which meant moving every couple of years to military postings both in the U.K. and overseas. She is now housebound due to a disability, so her writing has become even more important to her, and dedicates 4-6 hours each day writing and meticulously researching subject matter.
