"Jan," Cooper shook me gently.

I finally opened my eyes. The only lighting in the room was the streetlight just outside his window, but that was enough to let me look straight into his handsome face. It was clouded with concern.

"What's wrong…?" I began and then realized with a jolt that I had fallen asleep in his bed. I yanked the sheets up and felt my face flame. How was I going to explain this?

"Cooper, I'm so sorry," I whispered, still unable to move and very aware that I was naked. "I came in here and I guess I just dozed off.

"It's okay," he assured me, his worried frown turning into a soft, loving smile. He brushed my hair back out of my eyes with his fingertips. He tenderly kissed my forehead, my nose, my cheek. "It's okay."

And then he did exactly what I'd been dreaming about all of these weeks. He eased the covers back and crawled into bed with me. Taking me in his arms, he made a soft sound of surprise when he realized I was wearing nothing.

"I know," I said, pressing my head against his chest. "I can explain."

No I couldn't.

"You don't have to explain," he whispered, warm hands caressing my bare back.

With a moan, I simply gave in to my needs. I reached for him, curling my arms around his shoulders and running my fingers through the hair at the nape of his neck. I pressed my aching nipples into his chest, only vaguely thinking that he was still dressed. Lifting my face, I whimpered as he kissed me and pulled me even closer.

"You are so beautiful," he whispered.
