This experience gave her the opportunity to become acquainted with many Veterans who inspired her novel trilogy, The Wind Whispers War, War Written Words, and Welcome… With Wrath. Her heart is for God, her family, a special man, and those that serve/d our country protecting our freedom. She gives a sincere "Thank You" to the unsung heroes of the Vietnam War. To each of them she says, "Welcome Home". Kathy has won several awards for her poetry which has been read in over thirty counties worldwide.
