Charles Ghigna, or Father Goose®, lives in a treehouse in the middle of Alabama. He is the author of more than 100 award-winning books from Orca, Random House, Disney, Hyperion, Scholastic, Simon & Schuster, Time Inc., Abrams, Boyds Mills Press, Charlesbridge, Capstone and other publishers. He served as poet-in-residence and chair of creative writing at the Alabama School of Fine Arts and as a nationally syndicated feature writer for Tribune Media Services. Vlasta has illustrated thirty-six books, won many awards and served on the jury for the Governor General's Award for children's book illustration. The original artwork for Rockanimals was purchased by the National Library of Canada and is now part of its archives and art collection for children.
