Despite the misgivings of her friends, family, and therapist, Carrie goes ahead with the surrogacy. But the pregnancy and the relationship with the intended mother don't go as expected. As tension rises between her and the intended parents, Carrie's world gets turned upside down, and she must face the truth about herself before she can take on the biggest challenge of her life.
