But after she uproots her teenage daughter and relocates to the mountains, Elaine finds out that local environmentalists are organizing to oppose the project. Orthopedic surgeon Hart Cameron has been relieved of his roles as father and husband following the death of his son and his subsequent divorce. He goes home to Devils Creek and takes a job as a ski patroller in an effort to piece his life back together. Hart already knows what Elaine is about to discover: were all just one bad fall away from losing everything.
