ECKARD FUNCK1990 Eckard Funck started as an autodidact with painting, especially watercolour flowers for his fashion stores, employing colours which would complement the fashions. Just one year later his flower watercolours were displayed at the Easter-season opening exhibition in the arms hall of the castle on Mainau Island/Lake Constance. This was the beginning of his international success in the techniques of watercolour. Since then, he teaches in his studio and organizes painting courses abroad. Every watercolour - whether flowers or landscapes - is created without prior tracing, but rather spontaneously by placing brush to the paper.
