Kurt Geckeler is Professor of Materials Science and Engineering at the Gwangju Institute of Science & Technology (GIST), South Korea. Having obtained his academic degrees in Germany, he spent sabbatical leaves in the USA (Harvard University and the University of Montana) and in France (University of Montepellier). He is also Associate Editor and member of the Executive Editorial Board of the journal "Polymer International", published by John Wiley & Sons. He has published more than 300 journal articles, over 40 patents, and 4 books. He is member of the American Chemical Society and several other scientific societies.
