Autoren-Porträt von Carl Ganz
Carl Ganz, Jr. received a B.A. in History and an M.B.A in finance, both from Seton Hall University (1987 and 1989 respectively). He is a featured speaker at software development conferences in both the US and Germany and is the author of two books about Web software development with Visual Basic and two-dozen articles for various Visual Basic and database development publications. Currently, Ganz is the Microsoft development consultant for Westdeutsche Landesbank where he developed software using VB6, SQL Server 2000, T-SQL, Crystal Reports and Lotus Notes VBA (he began his work there in September 2001). During his tenure at Westdeutsche Landesbank he has developed a global data collection utility used to collect data for upload to mainframe system and an application security system for worldwide in-house applications utilizing data-driven programming techniques that allow users to be assigned passwords and security access settings for different applications. He has additionally developed a Web-based ASP application that captures client information and directs it to the mainframe. Ganz has occupied the position of lead developer at various corporations, including Goldman Sachs-Private Wealth Management division (November 1999-August 2001), TDATA (November 1997-October 1999), Novartis Pharmaceuticals (November 1997-present) and Kumon USA (November 1997-April 1998). Jon Kilburn graduated from Penn State and has been actively involved in the programming community since 1988. He has written articles and taught seminars all over the world and is editor of Pinnacle's forthcoming PDA Developer newsletter. He's president of Vivid Software, a Texas-based consulting firm that specializes in creating Internet solutions that use VB and SQL Server, and is the author of Palm Programming in Basic published by Apress.
