Consequently, this collection does not only benefit from the multitude of its contributors' disciplines but also provides access to a broad spectrum of possible paths that could be taken, thereby presenting a wealth of multi-disciplinarian perspectives. Against a backdrop of both crisis-ridden developments in economic, sociological and political spheres, and also of Europe's enduring stability and flexibility, this collection aims to assess the multiplicity of facets within Europe today.
Autoren-Porträt
Prof. Dr. Hauke Brunkhorst ist seit 1997 Professor und Leiter des Instituts für Soziologie in Flensburg, zuvor hatte er unter anderem bereits die Lehrstühle für Erziehungswissenschaften (Mainz), Philosophie (Frankfurt/M.) und Politische Theorie (Berlin und Duisburg) inne. Der vielseitige Gesellschaftsphilosoph und Kulturwissenschaftler hat sich im Rahmen seiner unzähligen Publikationen auch intensiv mit Habermas und dessen philosophischen Denken auseinandergesetzt.
