Alex Makey started out in programming using the Amiga with a hobbyist program called Amos. Around 1995 he then started developing a number of small sites with HTML and Javascript. He then studied Business Computing with Psychology graduating with 1st class honors. During his time at university he worked for a small consultancy developing applications with ASP and VB6. After this position he moved into .NET and SQL Server (from v1.0 and SQL 6.5) where he has remained for the last 7 or so years. In total Alex has over 9 years commercial development experience. In the last 6 months Alex has founded a .NET user group (Devevening.co.uk) which has grown from 6 to 15 regular attendees in just the first three months with 26 on the mailing list.
