This book is suitable for industrial and academic researchers, practising engineers within the field of smart antennae, and wireless infrastructure designers and developers.Minghui Li is an Associate Professor in Electronic Systems at the University of Glasgow, based in Singapore (UGS), before which he was a lecturer in the Centre for Ultrasonic Engineering at University of Strathclyde in the United Kingdom. He has investigated a range of industrial, UK EPSRC, knowledge exchange, and university strategic research projects as a Principal Investigator or Co-Investigator. Dr Li's research portfolio has primarily focused on sensing systems, signal processing and imaging in both fundamental algorithm research and applied prototype system development, covering a diversity of applications in communications, radar, sonar, non-destructive evaluation (NDE), and biomedical diagnosis and imaging.
Qammer H. Abbasi received his BSc and MSc degrees from the University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Lahore, Pakistan. He received his Ph.D. degree in Electronic and Electrical engineering from Queen Mary University of London (QMUL), U.K., in Jan., 2012. He then worked in numerous academic positions before his current role as an Associate Professor and deputy head for Communications Sensing and Imaging group at the University of Glasgow in the James Watt School of Engineering. Additionally, he works as aVisiting Lecturer at Queen Mary,
Professor Muhammad Ali Imran received his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from Imperial College London in 2002 and 2007, respectively. He is a Professor in Communication Systems in the James Watt School of Engineering at the University of Glasgow, Dean University of Glasgow UESTC, Head of Communications Sensing and Imaging (CSI) research group and Director of Glasgow UESTC Centre of Educational Development and Innovation. He is an affiliate Professor at the University of Oklahoma, USA and a visiting Professor at 5G Innovation centre, University of Surrey, UK, where he has worked previously from June 2007 to Aug 2016. He has published over 500 peer-reviewed research papers including more than 50 IEEE Transaction papers and contributed to 12 books. He has been an associate Editor for IEEE Communications Letters and IET Communications Journal and currently serving as an associate editor of IEEE Transactions on Communications and IEEE Access.
