Junping Liu is a Professor in the College of Civil Engineering at Fuzhou University, China. His research interests focus on bridge engineering, especially concrete-filled steel tubular (CFST) arch bridges. He has participated in the design consultation, construction monitoring, scientific research for many CFST arch bridges in China. He is working on developing arch bridge systems with new structural systems and new materials, such as
Jiangang Wei is now the vice-president of Fujian University of Technology. His research interests are focused in the areas of composite structures in civil engineering. He serves as the director of Association for Bridge and Structural Engineering of China Civil Engineering Society, also is the editorial board member for Journal of Architecture and Civil Engineering, and the member of Teaching Guidance Committee of Civil Engineering for Ministry of Education of China, and the leader of University Scientific Innovation Team in Fujian Province.
He has presided over several general projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and province major science and technology projects. He has also authored/co-authored more than 70 academic papers, published 2 Chinese monographs, and translated 2 English monographs of "Strengthening of Concrete Structures Using Fiber Reinforced Polymers (FRP)" and "Eurocode 4: Design of Composite Steel and Concrete Structures: Part 1-1, General rules and rules for buildings (BS EN 1994-1-1)". He has more than 10 international and Chinese patents, and won several science and technology awards at provincial level.
