Savita Sahni has done BA (Hons) in English and MA in English from Kirori Mal College ,Delhi University. She also did B.Ed. from Annamalai University. She has a Diploma in Serbo-Croatian.She worked as a lecturer in English in Delhi University for sometime . She had a stint as a lecturer in English in HMV Jullundur and BBK DAV College for women ,Amritsar, Punjab too. She was in charge NCC while at both the colleges. She had earlier undergone NCC training at Gwalior to become Second Lieutenant ,a gazetted officer. While in Amritsar she brought honors to her Battalion. She later shifted back to Delhi to join Navyug School, New Delhi ,a school meant for talented children from the economically weaker sections. She worked there as a lecturer, Vice Principal and Principal for more than three decades. She retired in 2008 as Principal. She has been decorated with several awards.She lives in Gurgaon ,NCR with her family.
