Produktinformationen zu „History of prostitution. A female criminal or a prostitute. With illustrations (ePub)“
The History of Prostitution is a scientific work of the German dermatovenerologist and sexologist Johann Bloch (German Iwan Bloch, 1872-1922).
Without exaggeration, this is a real encyclopedia dedicated to the "ancient profession". The author describes in detail all aspects of this phenomenon - from the historical origins of prostitution and its organization in Antiquity and the Middle Ages to male prostitution, clientele and fees.
Johann Bloch is known for being the first to introduce the term "sexology" into science. He seriously studied the theory of sexuality and was one of the founders of the Medical Society for Sexology and Eugenics.
Cesare Lombroso knew what he was writing about. For many years he had the opportunity to observe the most diverse types of criminals and analyze their physiological and psychological characteristics. Because he served as a prison psychiatrist.
The book "Woman-Criminal or Prostitute" is one of his most famous works. In it, Lombroso examines women's attitudes towards love, prostitution and crime and comes to unexpected conclusions about the driving instincts of women.
After becoming professor of forensic medicine and public hygiene at the University of Turin, Lombroso wrote another famous work - "The Criminal Man."
Cesare Lombroso is known as the founder of the anthropological direction in criminology and criminal law, whose main idea was the idea of ¿¿a natural-born criminal criticized by modern science.
