"Mater" is the Latin word for mother, as well as educating (hence the Latin root of "matriculate"). Matter in the title is a play on Mother as well as education (i.e."the subject of the matter") or information ("the matter at hand"); also an allusion to the #BlackLivesMatter phenomenon, Black Mother Black Matter also refers to the Deep Void of the black hole of space, suspension in the gravity-less womb of the Source.
