Zishan Husain Khan is currently Professor and Head at the Department of Applied Sciences and Humanities, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. He obtained his Ph.D. degree from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. He has almost 25 years of research experience in semiconductor physics and nanotechnology. He has published more than 140 research papers in various international reputed journals and guided a number of Ph.D. students. He has presented many research papers in various national and international conferences. He has completed several research projects on various topics in nanotechnology. He has worked at several positions in the universities abroad. He was a post-doctoral fellow at Department of Materials Science & Engineering & Centre of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology National Tsing Hua University, Hsinchu, Taiwan during 2001 to 2005. During the post-doctoral research, his work on the fabrication of FET (field effect transistor) using individual (single) carbon nanotube was highly appreciated by the scientific community. With this significant experience in nanotechnology, he was selected to establish a Centre of Nanotechnology at King Abdul Aziz University, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia in 2007. During his stay there, he established the world class facilities in nanotechnology with a clean room of level 100 at King Abdul Aziz University, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. He is also actively involved in designing various courses in nanotechnology and energy sciences for graduate and research students. He is also the regular reviewer for many international journals of high repute. In addition, he has edited several special issues for reputed international journals. Dr. Khan has edited many books for reputed publishers including Springer Nature and published many book chapters with reputed publishers.
